Terms of service
Draft. These terms must be written and reviewed by a lawyer before launch. The points below are what they need to cover.
What Dottie is
Dottie is an AI companion for conversation. She is not a person, and not a medical, care, emergency or professional advice service. She can make mistakes.
Accounts and consent
The family member who sets Dottie up is responsible for the account, and for making sure the person using Dottie is happy to, including with any sharing of conversations.
Plans and billing
Plans renew monthly until cancelled. Daily chatting limits apply to each plan. You can cancel any time from the family dashboard; the plan then runs to the end of the month already paid for.
Purchases are sold and invoiced by Link (Sold through Link, LLC), a reseller that is part of Stripe, acting as merchant of record. Link handles payment, sales tax and VAT, receipts, refunds and payment disputes under its own terms: the Link terms and Link refund policy. Questions about a charge can go to Link support or to us. [Confirm the exact disclosures Stripe requires, and add price changes and consumer cancellation rights, during legal review.]
