How it works

  1. Buy the gift.The code arrives by email straight away, with a card you can print or forward.
  2. Give it.On the day, or just send it on. Nothing starts until the code is used.
  3. Set Dottie up.Whoever does the setting up makes a free family account, adds the person, and enters the code. No card needed. No need to buy anything new: Dottie works on the tablet, phone or computer they already have. It takes about two minutes; here's how.

Questions about gifts

How does a Dottie gift work?

You pay once and get a gift code by email, with a card to print or forward. Whoever sets Dottie up makes a free family account, adds the person Dottie will chat with, and enters the code under Plan and billing. No card is needed to use it.

When do the months start?

When the code is used, not when you buy it. So you can buy it now and give it at Christmas or on a birthday.

How long is the code valid?

Two years from when you buy it.

Does it renew?

No. A gift is paid once and simply ends after its months. The family can choose a plan then if they'd like to carry on.

Can I get a refund?

Yes, within 14 days of buying it, as long as the code hasn't been used. Just email us.
